Internet retailer Amazon.co.uk will be among a select group of British retailers taking preorders for Microsoft's Xbox, the market's newest computer game console, the company has said.

The console, which launches on Thursday in the US, will not be sold in Britain until March, but the company expects to attract heavy traffic from consumers looking to pre-order the £297.99 game console.

In the US, Amazon had sold out of its allotment in five minutes, a spokeswoman said.

While full medical records may be of (dubious) value at rear/base medical facilities, these could be provided much simpler by either physical disk or electronic transfer to an "in theatre" database for individuals posted in.
