Computer Associates will unveil an integrated sustainability suite next week, designed to track carbon emissions, environmental assessments, metering and compliance to policies in one dashboard.

The suite, called ecoSoftware, will launch on 26 October, according to Christopher Thomas, CA vice-president of energy and sustainability.

There are also other efforts designed to track carbon emissions. For instance, Hara and SAP have various applications, and others are using metering to measure sustainability efforts. CA's suite links the various tracking efforts in one dashboard. If successful, dashboards such as these could put some hard return numbers behind sustainability efforts. Tesco, Europe's retailing giant, is a customer of CA's ecoSoftware.
