An update to the systems requirements in the upcoming Apple OS X — code-named Leopard — could mean that Macs with 800MHz processors will not be able to run the operating system. Leopard is due out in October.

Apple recently updated the software and its requirements. According to AppleInsider, an update included the requirement for "an Intel processor or a PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) or G5 processor".

The increase in system requirements would exclude a number of Mac systems from running Leopard, such as the 800MHz PowerBook G4 (Titanium), 800MHz PowerMac G4 (Quicksilver), 800MHz iMac G4, 800MHz iBook G4 and 800MHz eMac. All the systems affected are at least four years old.

AppleInsider speculates that the upcoming operating system OS X 10.6 will exclude support for PowerPC-based Macs entirely.

So if you upgrade to XP SP3 you can't uninstall Internet Explorer, I'm quite sure I'm having a Deja-vu feeling about MS preventing people from uninstalling Internet Explorer in other Windows products.
