Skype hails early developer success

Around 350 applications have been developed for Skype's Internet telephony service in the last year, the company announced on Monday.

The Skype Developer Program celebrated its first anniversary on Monday. So far, some 3,500 developers have joined the scheme and attempted to harness the Skype API — which is free to access.
