Google is on the prowl for talented developers in the UK and across Europe. The search engine company is holding its Code Jam contest here for the first time, after three successful years in the US. As well as the cash prizes on offer, the winners could find themselves working at Google.
Code Jam Europe launched on Tuesday, and is open to all residents of the EU and some other countries. The contest consists of three rounds, the last of which takes place in Dublin on 29th June. Anyone who gets past the first two stages will get an all-expenses paid trip to Ireland to participate in the championship round. First prize is €2,500 in cash, with five second prizes of €1,000, and more smaller prizes. The final round will have 50 places available for the whole of Europe.
