Microsoft said on Wednesday it has completed its acquisition of email services firm FrontBridge Technologies. Microsoft said that Los Angeles-based FrontBridge, with its staff of 150 people, will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary but will continue to offer support for both Microsoft Exchange as well as rival email servers including IBM's Lotus Domino and other SMTP-compliant servers.

"We are really excited about finalizing this acquisition so we can bring the FrontBridge team and their advanced services technology into Exchange," Dave Thompson, corporate vice-president of the Exchange Server Group at Microsoft, said in a statement. Microsoft announced the deal last month but did not disclose the purchase price or other financial details.
