The Paris High Court will hear evidence from Yahoo! Monday in the auctions of Nazi memorabilia case.

The portal has been asked to submit a technical report to back claims that it is technically impossible to block French access to its US auction site. It follows attempts from anti-racism groups to ban access due to the number of Nazi-related objects for sale. Under French law it is illegal to sell objects with racist overtones.

The case has put the international jurisdiction of the Interet firmly back on the agenda, and raised the question of how to apply domestic law to an international medium. The High Court has until 11 August to consider the evidence.

What do you think? Tell the Mailroom. And read what others have said.
