The sweet, sweet, sound of Linux on the Web

Two of the IT world's little guys have joined forces in the battle against the evil corporate giants.

Opera has announced that work has begun on a Linux version of its alternative browser. Work began three weeks ago in association with cross-platform software developer Troll Tech and the first working prototype is already on show this week at the LinuxWorld Expo in California. The first version should be available in the next few months.

Heard a rumour about a plan for a new gadget or software? Seen a device on your travels you'd like to know more about? Tell Nuggets and we'll get you the facts.
