Primax flatbed scans 30-bit colour for £99 inc. VAT

Called the MediaStorm Colorado Direct, the £99 device connects to the parallel port via a pass-through connector and is aimed at SoHo users. The unit scans at up to 4,800dpi and has a 30-bit colour mode. It ships with MGI PhotoSuite SE image editing software and the ReadIris OCR package.

The Colorado Direct is available from high street retailers including the Dixons Stores Group and Currys.
