Xerox drops 'Rank', targets retail

Xerox will make an announcement on Tuesday when it will also formally announce that it is dropping the 'Rank' part of its name, worldwide. The company will unveil the Home Centre, a fax, printer and scanner multifunction machine for around £300; the Work Centre, a fax, copier, scanner and printer for around £400 and the XJ4C ink jet printer for around £199.

Xerox has already agreed a deal with PC World and is currently negotiating a deal to stock the products in Dixons stores.
