Based on its enterprise Eagle technology, The Wall is a 25-user product that is preconfigured to protect against external access to company data. The user-installable product can also be set up to block specified URLs. It requires a Pentium system, preferably with 32Mb RAM.

"Small and medium-sized companies have the same level of security but what they don't need is the high ticket price," said Roger Lewis, UK manager. "Companies need to send and receive mail, browse Web sites and do the occasional download. The Wall provides them with a unidirectional firewall that lets nothing outside come in."

Lewis said he expects particularly strong sales from legal, medical and research organisations. The Wall will be sold through the channel at about £660.
