Philips unit to put Win CE apps on tap

MobileSoft will make CE apps available over the Web for downloading or via retail on CD-ROM. Trial versions are available so users can try out the software before deciding to purchase. The firm says available titles will run the gamut of productivity, communication, financial, organiser and entertainment tools.

IDC market research forecasts that Windows CE devices will take 38 per cent of the 'PC companion' sector in the US this year.
