Computer Associates' latest purchase Cheyenne Software today made its first move into the UK home market. Cheyenne will produce file management, anti-virus and backup titles priced at £60 apiece from mid-November.

Infinite Disk is a file manager which can automatically compress files or shift them onto another storage device. A Space Wizard helps create space by moving files which have been idle for a user-specified period of time. Once stored, they can be located and retrieved by clicking on an automatically created icon.

Cheyenne Backup offers one-button backup, a single-disk disaster recovery system, and built-in virus protection. It integrates with Windows Explorer so users can back up files without leaving Explorer.

Cheyenne Anti-Virus is also able to seamlessly attach to Windows Explorer, and can scan for polymorphic and macro viruses as well as viruses on files downloaded from the Internet.

Cheyenne can be contacted by telephone on 01737-775500.
