Traveling bought the product (formerly known as Milktruck) in April, and this is the first version of the product to be sold under new ownership. It allows users to download pages to their hard drives, saving time spent online. Pages can be downloaded partially, for example without graphics, and schedule downloads. A user could, for instance, choose that only changes to a news site be downloaded every morning. WebEx will be immediately available at a list price of £20.

Also new from Traveling is LapLink 7.5, the firm's second Windows 95 release of its classic file transfer utility. The upgrade includes Xchange Agent for automatic synchronisation with scheduling and preview options, automated remote control, and 30-50 per cent faster performance thanks to bitmap filtering and better compression algorithm, the firm claims. It lists for £150, with a £20 upgrade for users of the previous version, or £50 for users of older LapLink iterations.

Trial versions of both packages are avilable form Traveling's Web site. The firm can be contacted by telephone on 01344-383232.
