Siemens and BT team up for ID management

BT is to resell the identity and access-management products of Siemens Medical Solutions.

The products involved are in Siemens Medical Solutions' DirX portfolio, which includes authentication, authorisation, audit and reporting, web single sign-on and identity-federation tools.

BT will use the products in its client identity-management consultancy and will focus on business processes and compliance criteria. Customers can choose for the identity management products to be hosted on-site or in one of BT's data centres.

The agreement will initially cover the UK, Germany, France and the US.
