Grisoft, the firm behind the popular and free AVG antivirus product, has released a security suite for small businesses.

The Czech company announced on Tuesday that it had created AVG Small Business Server (SBS) Editions for its internet security and anti-malware packages, based on its Internet Security Network Edition 7.5.

The new edition covers both servers and individual workstations, together with a "unique" remote administration tool and free technical support. Prices start at $340 (£175) for the internet security package, and $289 (£150) for the anti-malware package, depending on the number of active computers on the network.

According to Larry Bridwell, Grisoft's vice president of global security strategies, the remote administration tool is particularly well-suited to small businesses, as many SMEs employ third parties for network administration and security tasks.
