Computer Associates on Thursday added a consumer anti-spam product to its eTrust family of security products. The eTrust Anti-Spam software blocks unwanted email and is available online and at retailers for about $30 (£17), the company said.

eTrust Anti-Spam includes common features, such as white lists for approved senders and support for digital signatures to verify authenticity of messages. The product also lets users activate a challenge and response tool to confirm that senders of mail flagged as spam are real people and not automated spam robots, CA said in a statement.
