A Year Ago: Egg's online security cracks

A day after the Halifax admitted to a flaw in its online security, the Internet bank, Egg has been compromised by a customer who gained complete access to another customer's Egg bank account.

Egg recently confessed to mailing out credit card details insecurely.

The customer, Alfredo Maio, contacted ZDNet UK News after he tried to access his account and was diverted into another. Maio was given complete access to another customer's personal details and was given the option to transfer money.
