CNET Networks UK award winner: David Lister, RBS

David Lister, chief architect at the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), has been named CIO of the Year in the 2008 CNET Networks UK Business Technology Awards.
Lister was picked out from a group of the country's top chief information officers for taking on a giant role at RBS after four years of driving a business-transformation programme at news organisation Reuters.
As the bank's chief technology architect, Lister's role involves responsibility for RBS's manufacturing unit, which provides the group's brands such as NatWest, Churchill and Direct Line, with centralised back-office services including IT.
