China seeks technology deal with India

China hopes to strengthen its collaboration with India, to enable them to take a leading role in the world's technology industry, according to reports.
The Associated Press reports that during a visit to the Indian city of Bangalore on Sunday, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabio said China and India should combine their respective strengths in the hardware and software industry.
"Cooperation is just like two pagodas, one hardware and one software," said Jiabio. "Combined, we can take the leadership position in the world."
China and India are expected to sign a number of political, economic and cultural agreements on Monday, when Jiabio is meeting the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Relations between the two countries have been strained in the past as China is one of the main suppliers of military equipment to Pakistan.
