Local authorities will be able to search and download products developed by the 22 National Projects for e-government through a catalogue set up by West Sussex County Council, it was announced on 22 March 2005.
West Sussex is taking a leading role in setting up the catalogue as part of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's roll out programme for the National Projects. The council has aggregated details of outputs from the projects for use across other local authorities.
Users of the online catalogue will be able to search for over 1,000 products according to Efficiency Review categories or specific priority outcomes.
Products so far available include a digital TV starter kit, a mobile street management system and a document for help in implementing e-payments technology.
Along with West Sussex, iMPOWER Consulting and Rutland Online helped develop the catalogue, which is to be officially launched on 31 March.
Roland Mezulis, chief e-government strategist at West Sussex said:
"The Product Catalogue is a major step forward in promoting the benefits of the National Projects, which have delivered a range of valuable products and knowledge for implementing local e-government. The new Product Catalogue brings a wide range of products together in a way that is accessible to the average local authority user or IT supplier."
