PeopleSoft said on Wednesday that it has bought Teamscape, a developer of employee training software. Teamscape, a private company based in Burlingame, California, has 11 employees, who will all join PeopleSoft as part of the acquisition. Other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

PeopleSoft is a major supplier of applications for automating human resources, bookkeeping and other business functions. The company said in April that it plans to expand its human resources applications to include employee training software. PeopleSoft intends to release by the end of the year a new version of the Teamscape software that will interoperate with its other human resources applications.
