News Burst: Microsoft readies first Win2K update

The answer should be available shortly, as Microsoft has started the formal beta testing process for SP1 for Windows 2000, according to a report on the WinInfo web site.

The site reports that Microsoft has made the beta available to Microsoft Developer Network subscribers only.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
