News Burst: Crusoe chip gets first suitor

The first product based on the Crusoe microprocessor from Transmeta, will be announced Thursday by consumer technology firm S3.

S3, which bought Diamond Multimedia last year and is better known for its work with video cards and MP3 players, will take the wraps off designs for a mobile "Web pad" featuring the revolutionary new software-based Crusoe chip.
