News Burst: Tech guru hypes edible computers

It may be possible to eat a computer without suffering any ill effects in just 10 years time, according to a highly respected US technology expert.

Nicholas Negroponte, founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Media Labs, claims that by the year 2009 we may not only be swallowing computers willy-nilly, but wearing the blighters too.

Negroponte told the Press Association Monday, "I expect to see edible computers pills, which will act like little medical monitors, downloading information about your state of health to a computer you wear."

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
