News Burst: e-minister warns of risky online startups

Speaking at the launch of a service for young Net entrepreneurs, Hewitt -- appointed to boost the UK's place in the world of e-commerce -- said the Internet hype may lead venture capitalists to put their money into poorly-thought-out online startups. Individual investors sink their funds into risky online companies at their own risk, Hewitt said.
