Undoubtedly the world's most unlucky cracker was given a two-year suspended jail sentence for quite accidentally breaking into the personal computer of the head of Denmark's computer-crime unit.

The cracker, whose name is yet to be released, confessed to the crime back in January, complaining that he had chosen his target randomly.

The computer's owner, detective Arne Gammelgaard, arrested this unfortunate cyber-criminal himself after the anti-virus software he had just installed warned him about the intruder.
