News Burst: Intuit Y2K suit dismissed

The suit, filed in a California superior court, concerned Quicken 5 and 6 for Windows and versions 6 and 7 for Macintosh. Intuit said the suit was dismissed because no damages were alleged.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
