At the British Education Technology and Training show (BETT) show in London this week, the Japanese giant said it plans to boost its investment in the education market.

The firm will make a "six figure" donation to the government's UK NetYear project and, with Microsoft and ICL, fund and supply equipment for a one-year trial of Net PCs in a Bristol school.

Following up, Fujitsu will take on Research Machines, Viglen and the other big names in educational computing with a range of multimedia PCs which it says have been designed and priced specially for education.
