MS says Gates not buying a London house

Reports in the London Evening Standard and The Independent suggested Gates had looked at property in the Notting Hill Gate area in the west of the capital but a spokesman this morning said the stories were "a complete myth".

"It's like Santa Claus... [the story] comes around every year," he said.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
