Microsoft serve up suites and sushi

Several hundred business people crammed into Soho's Yo! Sushi, to watch the various bits of raw fish and seaweed moving around on the restaurant's famous conveyor belt, whilst Microsoft employees sought to persuade them that the suite of server applications were both easy to install and a boon to their business.

Based on the Microsoft BackOffice software, the Small Business Server is designed to help businesses share information and resources, access the Internet, communicate with customers and partners, and run important applications.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
