Software Warehouse to put Download Shop online

On November 3, the Coleshill, Warks.-based firm will open the virtual doors to its Download Shop. It claims that buyers will get 25 per cent discounts on full working packages that can be unlocked after acceptance of a credit card transaction.

"Download Shop will revolutionise the traditional methods of shopping and act as an additional delivery method of software," said Steve Bennett, chairman of Software Warehouse.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
