Intel, AMD, Motorola to team on chip making technology

The group claims that the technology will allow chips 100 times more powerful than those available today.

An 8pm UK time teleconference is scheduled to include speakers such as Federico Pena, secretary of the Department of Energy, and Gordon Moore, chairman Emeritus of Intel.

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
