Intel's Smart Video Recorder III unifies TV standards

Available in the US since November last year but just shipping here now, the £130 Smart Video Recorder III solves the problems caused by the existence of differing standards in different countries.
Based around a PCI capture card, the kit uses Intel's Indeo software codec with the advantage that quality and speed of video playback scales with processor performance, including MMX optimisation.
