Netscape revenues shot up 114 per cent year-on-year to $120 million in its January-March quarter, confirming the growing maturity of the company in the teeth of intense competition from Microsoft and others. Profits were also up, to $7.9 million from $3.6 million last year.

Services and server business now represent well over half of business, delineating Netscape's switch from being a browser company.
