Called the DVS100 (from under £1,599 + VAT) the device complies with the ITU T.120 standard and uses Intel's ProShare conferencing software. According to BT, the card handles audio and video on-board and can work with system specifications from a 486DX2-based PC upwards. The DVS100 will be offered with choice of BT, Olivetti or ICL software consoles. BT expects sales in the SoHo and education sectors.

Separately, BT Teleconferencing Services said it has begun trials for the UK's first multipoint dataconferencing service. Also, T.120 and ProShare-based, BT plans to go live with the scheme by mid-1997.
