IBM joins P-150 notebook gang

The 150MHz Pentium-based unit will have 16Mb RAM, 2.1Gb hard drive, 12.1-inch TFT display but no CD-ROM drive. Pricing will be announced in two weeks. "Tosh seem to be following us and they tend to be cagey [about pricing]," said Peter Bragg, IBM marketing manager. "So we're going to be cagey too."

When all is said, if Microsoft produce the best product people will buy it and thats a good thing. If people have to buy their product because no one else can produce an alternative, only because interoperability protocols are kept secret, then thats a bad thing.
