France adopts three-strikes law for piracy

France has adopted a strong anti-piracy law, one that may mean those who persistently share unauthorised movies and music online will lose web access for up to a year.
France's top constitutional court approved a revised plan to penalise those accused multiple times of infringing intellectual property, according to a report published Thursday in The New York Times.
In the spring, the court rejected an earlier version of the law.
