Google buys Jotspot

Google has continued its round of acquisitions with the purchase of wiki site Jotspot.
Google's acquisition was announced on both the Google and Jotspot web sites on Tuesday. Jotspot and Google did not divulge the value of the completed deal.
Wikis allow users to edit and update web pages themselves. JotSpot's wiki allows users to create web-based spreadsheets, calendars, documents and photo galleries. The company claims that "thousands of businesses" use JotSpot to manage projects, build intranets, and share files with colleagues and customers.
Tuesdays purchase is the latest of a string of Google acquisitions in the Web 2.0 space. Google bought Jotspot competitor Writely, a hosted word-processing package, in March.
Jotspot was founded in 2004 by Excite.com co-founders Joe Kraus and Graham Spencer.
