The PC-9090 (£3,900 + VAT) is a 150MHz Pentium-based notebook with 24Mb RAM, 1.8Gb hard drive, 12.1-inch TFT screen, 1.44Mb floppy drive, 10-speed CD-ROM drive and video In/Out ports. The CD-ROM drive, floppy drive and a battery are swappable, and the LCD screen uses Sharp's Super High Aperture + Super View Technology, to increase the brightness and viewing angle without compromising battery life, according to the firm.

The device will be available from the end of this month.
