Shares of Amazon.com rose more than 20 percent in early trading Monday, following reports the company is in talks with retail giant Wal-Mart about a possible deal.

As of 1600 GMT Amazon shares were up $2.063 (£1.404), or 20.63 percent, at $12.063 (£8.21).

Reports in the Sunday Times of London said Amazon may become the online distribution arm for Wal-Mart products, while Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer, would gain access to Amazon's online expertise.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
