The fight against benefit cheats went online Tuesday as the government introduces 'Report a Fraudster' by email.

The Targeting Fraud Web site allows people to fill in an online form to report benefit fraud. The government promises full anonymity and confidentiality. It is part of a packet of measures being introduced by government as part of its policy to get all services delivered electronically by 2008.

According to Social Security minister Jeff Rooker it is the latest hi-tech weapon in the war against cheats. "Fraudsters are stealing from us all -- over £80 a year is lost to every household in this country as a direct result of people cheating the system," he says in a statement.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
