The Internet moves to the corner shop Tuesday as Littlewoods signs a Web deal with convenience store owners T&S.

Online kiosks will be installed in six of T&S' One Stop stores in the new year. Customers will be able to order goods from Littlewoods' newly-launched Web site, Indexshop.com. The site will have over 7,000 goods, including jewellery, toys, home and electrical goods. All can be delivered within 48 hours.

Littlewoods chief executive Barry Gibson has big plans for online selling. "Littlewoods has pledged to sell more online than any other UK retailer over the next five years," he said.

Littlewoods is also planning to offer customers cheap PCs but no details are yet available.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
