A year's supply of beer is on offer to users of Scotland's first virtual pub which opens this week

Launched by the Brewers and Licensed Retailers Associations of Scotland (BLRAS) the site -- www.scottishpubs.co.uk -- features online golf and penalty shootouts as well as information about the pubs and bars north of the border.

BLRAS chief executive Gordon Millar hopes the virtual pub will be as inviting as the real thing. "It offers a welcome which makes you feel like your sitting at the bar in your favourite local," he said.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
