UK schoolchildren are to be given a helping hand getting wired by Time Computers, which announced Tuesday that it is to donate as much as £35m in software and hardware to kids.

The initiative, organised with the help of The Times Education Supplement, WHSmith and John Menzies, will allow schoolchildren to collect tokens by surfing the Net using Time's newly-launched ISP, Netline, and exchange the tokens for techno-goodies.

Those interested should get their skates on though, as the service, launched at the end of September, will only run until January 2000.
