News Burst: Excite moves to halt email breach

Excite.co.uk admitted Friday its Web email service is faulty and has removed the password hint service from its system.

Excite's decision to removed the service follows a simple hack Wednesday that potentially exposed tends of thousands of email accounts in both Excite.co.uk and Ireland.com.

Excite has the largest free Web based email service in the UK and Ireland.com is the largest in Ireland.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
