Magex, the e-commerce service launched by NatWest bank in June, is the latest convert to MP3, it was announced today.

In partnership with MusicMatch, Magex is offering customers the chance to download and purchase digital music from MusicMatch's Web site. A pilot scheme will take place next month with a full service available later in the year.

MusicMatch Jukebox will allow users access to its catalogue of artists and listen to tracks in CD-quality sound. Magex managing director Peter Beverley believes it is another step towards acceptance of digital music. "This will encourage more record labels and artists to distribute their music over the Internet," he said.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
