Sega has announced a three-week delay in the UK launch of its eagerly awaited Dreamcast game console. It will now hit UK shops 14 October.

The launch date was pushed back to allow British Telecom (BT) extra time to finish testing the dedicated Dreamcast Internet browser -- Access -- that will be integrated into the unit.

A spokesman for Sega said, "BT's commission has been complicated by the fact that this is a Europe-wide launch, involving work on five different versions of the browser for five different languages."

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
