King of spam gets legal

Wallace's old company, Cyber-Promotions, used to send as many as 25 million unsolicited e-mail advertisements each day, gaining him a reputation as the depraved "King of Spam". In April 1998, however, Wallace renounced his title and launched a legitimate Internet marketing company, SmartBot.net.
Now Wallace claims the proprietor of Adbility.com has unfairly accused SmartBot of spamming.
In April, Mark Welch of Adbility.com posted the complaints to an anti-spam newsgroup -- SmartBot's Internet connection to Verio ISP was severed.
