The organisation is leading the way in global initiatives to set up an internationally recognised rating and filtering system. European Union money has been made available for a joint venture with European agencies and the IWF is also working closely with the US-based Recreational Software Advisory Council (RSAC).

Founder of the IWF Peter Dawe is delighted by the new direction. "It is now a multi-national organisation dealing with a multi-national problem," he said.

I wonder, who needs .asia domain? I cannot imagine, what would be useful for Microsoft.asia? Toyota.asia? Then let's register .europe (if .eu is too short). Or perhaps Microsoft.southamerica, Dell.australiaandnewzealand, Coca-Cola.africa... Sound funny? Then why not just use the global and country domains? Or perhaps it is time to drop the domains at all?
